My thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge their open show. I thoroughly enjoyed my day, I thought the atmosphere at the show was very good and all the exhibitors supported each other. My thanks to my two very able stewards, Tan Nagrecha & Andi Horwood for keeping the ring in check and kept it following, and finally my thanks to the exhibitors for entering under me.
Minor Puppy Dog (1,0)
1st Morrison & Ellis PIPPANABBEY KING ARTHUR – 7 ½ mth old puppy, nice puppy when stacked properly!, pleasing head, with good eye and ear set for age, good neck, touch narrow on front, but plenty of time for this to change, nice angles front and rear, nice body with good ribbing, good topline and tailset when stacked, pleasing movement for one so young.
Junior Dog (4, 0)
1st Macdonalds CHEDHAM BEAR NECESSATIES – Star of the day,13 mth old, big upstanding male of correct proportions, well balanced, lovely strong head, with short square muzzle, nice eye and good ear set, well defined stop and broad skull, strong neck, going into well laid shoulders, good straight front with good bone, deep chest, well rounded ribs, solid topline and tailset, lovely rear with correct turn of stifle and firm hocks, the ring wasn’t big enough to show off his true movement but saw enough and I had no hesitation to award him Best Dog and BIS, he completely filled my eye and he should have a bright future.
2nd Snelsons SNELSBURN HEAVENS MIRACLE - 13 mth old smaller than 1 but still in proportion and well balanced, pleasing head with good square muzzle, did prefer the eye on this dog, good neck, nice front and rear, good body with strong loin, good rear stifle, nice profile movement, couldn’t match 1 on rear movement.
3rd Smiths AMARDAPARK APOLLO EYES ON ME
Maiden Dog (1,0)
1st Smiths AMARDAPARK APOLLO EYES ON ME – 16th mth old male, another nice size male, needs to mature up in head to complete the picture, touch jowly, pleasing eye, nice muzzle and jaw, front is ok, nice body and loin, nice stifle, needs to strengthen on rear, pleasing profile movement.

1st Smiths AMARDAPARK APOLLO EYES ON ME – Repeat
Post Graduate (3,1)
1st Lanes LANBERNS GLADIATOR – 2 yr old mahogany male, possibly a touch square, but this didn’t deter from his overall quality, good size and bone, lovely head with good skull and eye, good stop and broad muzzle, compact neck, good angulation on front and good straight front, would like a touch more behind the elbows to complete picture, good ribbing and loin, lovely rear angulation,
good profile movement and showed lovely front movement, please to award him RBD.
2nd Deuchar Fawcetts SARANBECK NOW OR NEVER – 2 yr old, nice overall shape, touch over angulation on rear for me, pleasing head and skull, broad muzzle, nice front angulation, touch narrow in front and would like more behind the elbows, nice bone and size, good ribbing and loin, nice profile movement.
Limit Dog (2,1)
1s Forrests MOUNTSAVIOUR DRUESBURG – 3 yr old, nice overall shape & make, pleasing head, with lovely eye and ear set, good broad muzzle and jaw, nice width of front, good angles front and rear, could have a better spring of ribs, and firmer topline, nice stifle and hock, touch close on move, good bone and size, nice profile movement.
Open Dog (2,1)
1st Lanes LANEBERNS BLUE DIAMOND – 3 yr old, ok for head, good square muzzle, good eye and ear set, perhaps front could be a touch tighter for preference, lovely strong neck, good shoulders and front angulation, lovely well rounded ribs, and strong loin, very solid topline with good tailset, think he was struggling a touch with the floor today, would love to see him outside.
Minor Puppy Bitch (3,0)
1st Lyons & Grubbs PENELOPE VANT HOF TEN EYNDER AT SNOWFORDHILL – 7 mth old, nice overall shape & make, such a baby and obviously needs to broaden in head, although in proportion, nice set ear, good square muzzle, eye touch rounder, pleasing neck and shoulders, good width, good body for age, touch over angulated on rear at the moment, sound on the move.
2nd Howards PIPPANABBEY HAZEL NUT – 8 mth old baby, very raw and immature at the moment compared to 1, but very pleasing to go over, head with good proportions, ok for front, nice body, preferred the rear on this bitch, nice profile movement, should be promising when she grows up.

Puppy Bitch (3,0)
1st Barbrookes AMARADAPARK HAPPY HOUR – 11 mth old, what a babe, nice overall package, lovely head with square muzzle and lovely eye, and ear set, good bone with good size, so balanced for one so young, nice width on front, ok for neck, good ribbing & loin, nice rear, needs to firm up in rear to
complete the picture, good topline and tailset, moved well. Pleased to award her BPIS
2nd Bannisters AMARDAPARK PICK N’ MIX AT BANNDEAN – 10 mth old, bigger bitch than 1, but it cost her on maturity, still raw, touch narrow through at the moment, her body needs to catch up with her size, pleasing skull and good square muzzle, eye could be tighter, good neck, nice angles front and rear, good profile movement.

1st Birkenshaws AMARDAPARK HERA SPRING CALL – 16 mth old girl, beautiful outline & shape, lovely head with good skull, lovely eye, and good solid muzzle and good jaw, giving a lovely expression, good neck, lovely angles front and rear, good width on front, well rounded ribs and solid loin, lovely
rear with correct turn of stifle, strong hocks, moved well, did consider for RBB, just lost out on maturity.

1st Bannisters AMARDAPARK PICK N’ MIX AT BANNDEAN – Repeat
Novice Bitch (3,1)
1st Muggletons BERNMONT OLYMPIA – 17 mth old, pleasing overall shape to her body, head needs to balance body a touch more to complete picture, pleasing head with good ear set and eye, good stop and square muzzle, eye a touch light for preference, nice angles on front, ok for ribbing and loin, nice rear, moved ok.
2nd Goughs PIPPANABBEY FINBARRS MILLY AT SAINT FINBARR – my 3rd in Puppy bitch, big girl, very raw at the moment, her body needs to expand to balance her throughout, good skull, eye could be tighter, good muzzle and jaw, ok for angles front and rear, just needs to grow into herself.
Special Novice Smooth Bitch (2,1)
1st Millwards LANEBERN BLUE EADEN BETWEEN MILLVOSI – 4 yr old smooth, pleasing head with good ear set and skull, square muzzle, touch narrow in front, nice angles, ok for ribbing, touch bum high, nice rear, pleasing on the move.
Post Graduate Bitch (4,0)
1st Macdonalds CHEDHAM BUTTER WOULDN’T MELT – 15 mth old, lovely balanced bitch, pleasing head with good skull & stop, good square muzzle and width of jaw, ear a touch large, good strong neck, nice front angles, well boned, nice body and loin, good topline and tailset, perhaps a touch over angulated on rear for preference, lovely profile movement.
2nd Clarkes CASTLECUL RUBY BLUE – 18 mth old, pleasing overall size and bone, perhaps a touch bum high, nice skull and ear set, eye a touch round, which spoilt expression, better size ear than 1, nice front, touch longer in hock than 1, nice body and loin, pleasing on the move.

1st Bannisters CHANDLIMORE RHYTHM DANCER AT BANNDEAN – 5 yr old girl who didn’t realise she was 5! Full of life and kept her handler on her toes, ok for head, with good skull, good stop, good square muzzle, ok for front angulation, good bone, would like a touch more behind the elbows, pleasing body, good topline and tailset, pleasing on the move.

1ST Lanes LANEBERN BLUE SAVANNAH – 3 yr old bitch, lovely shape and profile with correct bone,lovely head with correct width of skull, correct stop, lovely eye, good strong muzzle with good width of jaw. Strong neck going into correct shoulder angulation, lovely strong front, with enough chest, lovely topline and tailset, good body and loin, lovely rear, moved well, RBB
2nd Clarkes LAZEYBEAR DARK INDULGENCE – 2 yr old, bigger bitch but narrower through, pleasing head with good strong skull and stop, strong muzzle and jaw, strong neck, touch narrower than 1 through body, good front angulation, but straighter in stifle, nice profile movement.

1st Bell & Jeffries BELLFRIES SMOOTH JAZZ – 17 mth old girl, nothing to hind on this girl and you didn’t have to, so well balanced, pleasing head, with good width of skull, and good deep stop, lovely eye and good ear set, good square muzzle with good width of jaw, lovely expression, good neck, well
boned, lovely front angulation, with good depth of brisket, well ribbed with strong loin, lovely hindquarters, lovely on the move. Pleased to award her Best Bitch.
2nd Millwards MILLVOSI VISION OF ANGELS – 5 yr old bitch, pleasing overall balance, profile spoilt slightly by under carriage, Pleasing head with good muzzle, and skull, good neck, nice front, good ribbing and loin, touch straight on rear, nice profile movement.
3rd Deuchar fawcetts ZARA IN SI MINORE SARANBECK

1st Goughs PIPPANABBEY FINBARRS STAR AT SAINT FINBARR – 11 mth old, very raw at the moment, but big girl that needs to grow into herself, pleasing head, good stop, and strong skull, needs time to mature
Breeders Dog or Bitch (2,0)
1st Lanes LANEBERN RUBY SLIPPERS – well this breeder definitely produce her dogs to a type, another bitch who was full of herself, good shape & balance, pleasing head with good stop and skull, lovely eye and expression, good strong neck going into good shoulder, good bone with good front and rear, nice body and loin, good topline and tailset, moved well.
2nd Millwards MILLVOSI VISION OF ANGELS
Special Veteran Dog or Bitch (4,0)
This class was probably the most difficult of the day
1st Millwards MAWREDDOG AMAZING GRACE – 9 yr old bitch who doesn’t look her age, so well balanced, with good head, lovely eye, and square muzzle, good strong neck, lovely width on front and good angulation, well ribbed body and good loin, lovely rear and moved so well for for her age.
2nd Butts CHABANOU CAPTAIN CUTTLE – heavier male, ok for balance, heavier on head with more wrinkle, good width of skull, and good ear set, strong muzzle, ok for front angles, nice ribbing and and loin, pleasing rear, couldn’t match 1 for movement.
3rd Lyons & Grubbs SNOWFORDHILL SUPER FLOWER
